Hey everyone! I've been very busy helping Mom with quilt shows all winter. But now that Spring has arrived, I 've got some time to myself and I am in the Bahamas catching some fun in the sun. When I arrived here last week I was out dancing in the surf, and I met this really cool flamingo named Marley who has the most amazing feathers I have ever seen. They are long, curly Rasta plumes all over his head! Not only that, but they are this absolutely to die for shade of pink - and you know how I love pink!
Well, after we got to know each other a bit more, he decided to share his secret with me. (Now don't tell anyone.) Thers is this place..., No I can't really say where, but it's in the Bahamas, and it's a tiny little cove with crystal clear turquoise water, really inviting. You'd really love it, but I just can't say where it is.
In the water there are these very special shrimp that have almost magical properties if you eat enough of them. Marley goes there every day to dine and that is how he's gotten the gorgeous curly pink feathers. You have to eat a really lot of them - I started yesterday and I was so full I couldn't fly afterward. In a month or so, I'll have the lovliest pink curly feathers anyone has ever seen. This is the ultimate health spa for flamingos.
No, don't ask to join us, because humans are not allowed. If one comes close he is chased away by an angry flock of very pink flamingos.
I'm sure I'll be in demand with all the fashion magazines very soon, but I'll post a photo of myself for you to see how gorgeous I become!

Too cute. My girlfriend is in the Bahamas about 4 months and thought she saw you. You were the one w/o the red sunburn :) Have a great time, I am looking forward to your pics. Blessings, Janet
