Floozie's Thanksgiving Adventure

I'm sure you are anxious to hear how my date with Marshall went when he came to meet my family over Thanksgiving. Well, it was a disater and he's not the bird I thought he was.

He arrived on the bus and Dad went with me to the bus stop to pick him up (remember he can't fly). He complained all the way back to the house about the traffic, the road construction, his butt hurt from sitting on the bus for so long, and on and one. The worst part was he didn't even give me a kiss!

So then, dinner came and everyone was gathered around the table and Dad began to carve the turkey. Marshall thought it was a flamingo roast and he totally lost it - he jumped into the middle of the table. Food and dishes flew in every direction and people were running and screaming. Marshall was squawking and flapping at Dad and pecking at him. I bit him hard on the neck (Marshall, not Dad) to get his attention and then I chased him out the open French doors and around & around the pool. I'm much faster than he is, and of course I can fly, so when I caught him I bit him again! He squawked really loud and crashed through the back screen panel and left a flamingo shaped hole in it as he ran off into the woods. I haven't seen or heard from him since then. I don't know if he made it back to the zoo of if he has gone AWOL, and frankly, I don't care. (You though I was going to say something else, didn't you?)

So sorry to hear this - but I guess it's better to learn about him sooner than later. Better luck next time! LOL!

What an experience. But no matter what, I hope you learn "biting" is bad. One can't make friends biting. Try sending hugs & kisses next time.

PS - I can't wait to see your book come out in print. I'll buy a copy!

You are so fun. Floozie, you have to be so careful and it is always best to see a fellow how he really is in a family setting before hugs and kisses are offered. You'll find that special flamingo - take your time. Blessings, Janet
